Thanks to Rep. Mary Bentley and Rep. David Ray for visiting us during Take Your Legislator to School Month. Our students enjoyed talking with their legislators and having a story read to them. Thank you for all the hard work for our community and support for public education.

Attention Mayflower Parents and Community: Last night, a student reported to their guardian there was a potential threat today on the Mayflower High School Campus. The Mayflower Police were notified of the possible danger and investigated. Late last night, Mayflower Police determined the threat was not credible, and the student had fabricated the story to their guardian. There is no credible threat to any Mayflower Schools; however, out of an abundance of caution, an increased police presence is on all campuses this morning. We appreciate the work of the Mayflower Police Department and other law enforcement agencies in investigating and providing additional support for our students this morning.

Good morning! Just a friendly reminder for the safety of students and the efficiency of the car rider lines that all parents are to remain in the vehicle at all times. Please do not get out of your car to help your child. Duty personnel will do so for you. Please make sure students are ready to exit quickly. Also, please be patient with the line and do not walk your children to the door. Established procedures are for the safety of everyone on campus. Thank you for your help!

Good evening, Mayflower Elementary Parents. On behalf of our campus, we thank you for your patience and understanding during car dismissal today. Please remember the following: to pick up your child, you must have a yellow car tag with your child's name written in a bold, black marker and displayed in the driver's window. K-4 students will dismiss in the drive between the gym and school. If you do not have a yellow car tag, you must go to the front office with your ID to request the number of tags you need. In addition, please have your child's seat on the passenger side of the car for drop off and pick up. Drop off begins at 7:15 a.m., and pick up begins at 4:10 p.m. School begins promptly at 7:35 a.m. If you have a preschool child, you will drop off and pick up children and their siblings in the front drive of the school. Please have all preschool car seats behind the driver's side. All parents are to remain in their vehicles. All walk-ups will dismiss last. Please also remember that we provide bus services to those living in our district zone. Tomorrow begins all normal procedures. Students will walk themselves to class. Teachers will be throughout the halls to assist. Thank you again for your patience and understanding.
