Dear Parents, Guardians, and School Patrons:

My name is Candie Watts, and I want to welcome you to Mayflower Elementary School. This is my 28th year of service as an educator in Arkansas Public Schools. I have had the privilege of serving as a classroom teacher in kindergarten and fourth, fifth, and sixth grades.  After leaving the classroom, I worked as the Professional Development Specialist for School Improvement at Arch Ford Education Service Cooperative.  I am entering my twelfth year in my forever home and role as Mayflower Elementary School Principal.

As principal of MES, I take great pride in the academic success of our school.  It is because of our supportive learning community we are successful.  You, along with highly qualified staff and passionate student learners, make up our learning community.  It takes a solid partnership between all stakeholders to continuously challenge and grow student learners, academically, socially, and emotionally.  Please join us as we work to provide educational opportunities that create empowered, lifelong learners and productive service-minded citizens.
